Avatar Treatment
Jake Sully is an ex marine that was paralysed due to a gunshot wound during a mugging. After the death of his brother he is asked to take control of a genetically engineered giant alien body called an Avatar
After he lands on Pandora he meets his avatar and a companion with his own avatar, Norm. Jake also beings his video diary track his progress.
The next day Jake meets Grace, who is the head scientist and not please about Jake replacing his brother. She gives him a quick break down of what to do and starts the process to transfer Jake in to his new body. The transfer is a success and Jake wakes up in the body of his avatar. Excited by having the use of his legs back he out of the lab, despite the pleading not to, and sprints through fields.
A few days later Grace, Norm and Jake go to collect biological samples. During the trip Jake is separated from the other two after an attack from an alien creature. He is now stranded in the Pandora jungle over night.
During the night Jake is again attacked by alien creatures but is saved by a Na’vi Neytiri who is also not pleased to see him as she is aware he is friends with the humans.Neytiri tries to get rid of him but is stopped by a sign from their native god. She then takes him to the home tree to see her clan’s leader and spiritual leader.
At the home tree Neytiri explains what happened to their spiritual leader who shows interest in Jake and instructs Neytiri to teach him their sacred ways. They then go to sleep causing Jake tp revert to his original body
Back in the base the stories antagonist Colonel Miles Quaritch promises Jake that he will fix his legs if he gathers information about the na’vi which he can use to persuade or destroy them. Jake agrees and beings collecting Intel for him.
Grace no longer trusts the rest of the base and decides to move her team to a small portable link camber hidden away in the floating moutons of Pandora.
Over the next 3 months Jake is trained by Neytiri on how to hunt in the jungle, ride tamed creatures of Pandora and the basis of their spiritual beliefs. Jakes final test to be accepted in to their tribe is being able to ride and tame a flying beast.
Jake is taken through the final acceptance ceremony and Neytiri takes him to the tree of voices. That is where they choose each other as mates and share an intimate moment.
The next day while Jake is forced to have breakfast in his original body, his avatar body is in danger of being destroyed by a bulldozer. Neytiri tries to wake and eventually succeeds. Jake, enraged, climbs atop the bulldozer and smashes the camera on top used to guide it. Colonel Miles Quaritch sees that it was Jake that destroyed the camera and takes it as a betrayal.
Jake runs back to the home tree to try and convince them to leave but telling them of his misson. Neytiri, after hearing this, feels hurt and rejects Jake. Forcibly returned to their real bodies Jake, Grace and Norm are confronted by Miles and taken back to the main base. Colonel Miles Quaritch shows them a video of Jake saying the Na’vi will never leave their home to prove his point that they need to be forceably removed from the home tree.
While they prepare to attack the home tree Jake, Grace and Norm escape from their jail cell and return to their portable base. When at home tree Jake tries to convince the Na’vi to leave one last time but are instead taken hostage.
Soon after Miles Quaritch heads the attack on home tree destroying it completely. As well as killing Neytiri’s father. The spirit leader releases Jake and Grace to try and help but they are once again forcibly returned to their real bodies and imprisoned along with Norm for betrayal.
But a pilot Trudy Chacon breaks the three out, flies them to the avatar outpost and relocates them to an unknown area for safety. But during the escape Grace is shot by Miles and seriously injured.
Reverting back to his avatar Jake decides the only way to regain the Na’vi’s trust is to tame a Toruk which he does. Jake then confronts them at the tree of souls and tries to have them help Grace. They go through a ritual to transfer Grace’s mind into her avatar permanently but her injuries were too bad and she dies before the transfer is complete.
Jake then with the renewed trusts of Neytiri and the new leader Tsu’Tey rallies together thousands of Na’vi from different clans to repel the human attack.
Mean while Miles convinces Selfridge that attacking the tree of souls will win them the battle to get the materials hidden below so he agrees to an attack on the Na’vi.
That night Jake prays to the Eywa through connection with the tree of souls to help in the coming battle.
The battle soon begins and the humans quickly gain the upper hand. Many Na’vi are lost including Tsu’Tey and Trudy. When the battle is almost lost the wildlife begin to help the Na’vi and fight the humans which turns the table. Then Jake destroys the drop ship saving the tree of souls. With Miles as the only human survivor he locates Jake’s real body and exposes it to the toxic Pandora air. Neytiri then kills Miles and saves Jake, seeing his human form for the first time.
Later with the battle won the remaining human personnel are expelled from Pandora except for a select few. Then finally the Na’vi performs a ritual to permanently transfer Jake’s mind into his avatars body.

- The Setup
The protagonist Jake Sully is an ex-marine in the year 2154 travelling from Earth to the alien planet Pandora. Jake has accepted to replace his brother as a negotiator to the native Na’vi of Pandora by using his genetically engineered Avatar. His mission is to convince the Na’vi to relocate so that they can mine for Unobtainium. Jake Sully is promised to get the use of his legs back after the mission is complete. - Inciting Incident
After Jake Sully links with his Avatar for the first time he is given full use of the Avatars body and realises that he can now walk again. Jake ignores the doctors trying to control him and runs off excited to try out his legs. Jake eventually calms down and proceeds with Dr Augustine and Norm on a outing. - Act One Turning Point
After Jake Sully is separated from Dr. Grace Augustine and Norm Spellman he is attacked by several creators indigenous to Pandora. He is saved by Neytiri in which he forms a bond with and adds to the conflict he has between his duty and the freedom he has within the Avatar body. - Mid-Point
Jake Sully starts to become a part of the Na’vi tribe but has not yet completed his mission to relocate them. Jake starts to spend more and more time linked to his Avatar rather than reporting to Colonel Miles Quaritch. Jake promises to the Colonel that he is close to relocating them and to give him another day to finish it off. Jake manages to gain there trust but it is instantly lost after they discover Jake is working with the humans. - Act Two Turning Point
After the Colonel sees Jake breaking the camera he travels to the location of the remote link station and arrests Jake, Dr Augustine and Norm. As the Colonel discusses what to do now, Jake and the others escape and retreat back to the remote link station. The Colonel launches an attack on the gathering Na’vi tribes - Act Three Turning Point
Jake, after being accepted again as “The Last Shadow” rider, leads the Na’vi in to the battle against the marines. The Na’vi is close to losing the fight when they are helped by the creatures of Pandora. Jake faces off against the Colonel in a robotic suit. Jake is helped by Neytiri who kills the Colonel. - Resolution
After the fight Jake and the Na’vi people force the human inhabitants off Pandora and close down the operation. The tribes return to their original locations and creatures return to normal. Jake enters his final speech into his video log and then transfers his consciousness into his Avatar through the trees on Pandora.
